ARCNH: GIVING TUESDAY

As a Community Recovery Center ARCNH is dependent upon the support of our generous community. So many of you already help us in so many ways and for that we are incredibly grateful. On November 30th we are participating in Giving Tuesday which is another excellent opportunity for us to come together as a Community to build capacity for SUD resources in the Souhegan Valley.

About Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global movement of giving. On this day each year the world comes together to power a massive movement advocating for doing good. The platform that Giving Tuesday creates brings awareness to nonprofits and community organizations in 70+ nations around the world. In 2020 2.5 billion dollars were raised for nonprofits on Giving Tuesday and the acts of generosity performed on that day are unquantifiable. Last year ARCNH participated in Giving Tuesday and raised $2,317 thanks to our fabulous community! This year we’re hoping to beat that goal and raise $3,000.

$3,000 may not sound like much but in the life of a person in recovery it can make all the difference and that’s exactly where your money goes when you donate to ARCNH; to support an individual’s recovery.

About ARCNH

At ARCNH we work to support the recovery community in the Souhegan Valley. Our main service is recovery coaching where a person in recovery works with a person pursuing their recovery to use their trained skills and lived experience to help that person find the path to recovery that works for them. Additionally, we provide referral services to help individuals find all the help they need. We have partners in every nook and cranny of the recovery world so when someone calls, or visits, we make sure they get the help they need. We are also very proud to provide extensive veteran services. These services range from recovery services to just about anything else. It’s important to us to give back to those who have given so much to our country.

The ARCNH Community Recovery Center is home to many mutual aid meetings including Alcoholics Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, All Recovery, and Three Principles plus Parents of Addicted Loved Ones and Dharma Recovery are coming soon! We also provide many free of charge social activities where all members of the recovery community are welcome to gather, relax, play, exercise and create in a safe and welcoming space. Essentially, we work day in and day out to provide holistic services for anyone and everyone in need of recovery support.

ARCNH’s Giving Tuesday Campaign

This year we’re partnering with SHARE Outreach, as we did last year, to double the good. For every donation we receive we’ll donate a food item to SHARE’s food pantry. “SHARE is a community organization that has served families in need for 40 years.” SHARE provides emergency and ongoing support to families in need in Milford, Amherst, Brookline, and Mont Vernon. In 2018 SHARE distributed 135,583 meals throughout the community.

We think SHARE is a fabulous organization clearly doing incredible work in the Souhegan Valley. We further think that partnering with them just makes sense. Together ARCNH and SHARE feed the bodies, minds and souls of the Souhegan Valley.

So this year on November 30th we hope you consider donating to ARCNH because your donation, of any size, will make an incredible impact.

If you can’t donate, please consider spreading the word or stop by the center to see how you can help!
