We have been very busy here at the center preparing and distributing our Stronger Together Veterans Coalition of New Hampshire Provider Outreach Bags.
Each bag includes information on the Stronger Together Veterans Coalition of New Hampshire, stats on veteran suicide in NH, resources to support military children and families, free training opportunities to include the Governor’s 2023 Training Challenge, and information on Veteran Legal Services.
Also included in each bag is a gun lock, Veterans Crisis Line magnet and wallet card, a Therapeutic Risk Management Tool for risk management of suicide, a brochure on Operation SAVE, Know the Five Signs rack card, information on Suicide Risk Management Consultation Program for supporting Providers who serve Veterans, a brochure on Preventing Suicide Among Older Veterans and much more.
Most importantly, information on Ask The Question is included in every bag. Ask the Question is an initiative of the NH. Department of Health and Human Services that urges all Providers to simply Ask the Question.
It is a simple, recognizable, memorable and powerful concept. Inspiring Providers to better identify and engage the military-veteran population, Ask the Question allows for more informed coordination or resources and the ability to connect our military with support and services.
